Welcome to my website! 

I work in dry media, which for me means pastel and colored pencil.  Usually they are two different mediums, but sometimes I combine them using the colored pencils as the predominant medium with pastels for the lights and highlights.   

In the above painting, "String Theory", I used colored pencil exclusively.  This particular painting was exhibited in the Colored Pencil Society of America's 17th Annual International Exhibit in Atlanta, GA.

I love learning about Physics, Cosmology and Quantum.  "String Theory" is a play on the now outdated "Theory of Everything".  Physicists are now on to "M Theory" as the "Theory of Everything".  This photo shoot was great fun, strings, cherries, reflections on the spoon.  It is meant to be viewed as two planes...vertical to make the strings hang straight, and laying flat so that the cherry doesn't fall off the spoon...or will it?
